About the game

ONE MORE STEP is a free 2D climbing game by MigsLab, run by Miguel Ramos in the Philippines. It is for all ages. A parent or guardian should help a child with this policy. You don't need to sign up, and the game doesn't ask for your email address or photos.

What we keep online

  • Your guest profile: your name and any earlier names, character picture, country and message.
  • A random ID the game creates on your device, and whether you play on Android, iOS or the web.
  • Your runs: the world, your time or floor, and the date.
  • Whether you agreed to the terms, and when.
  • Reports you send, and reports about your name or message.
  • Issues and suggestions you send.

Your country starts as a guess from your device's language settings. You can change it in your profile. We also use your IP address to limit how often some things can be sent.

Why we keep it

To run the game and its leaderboards, stop cheating and abuse, and fix problems.

What other players can see

Your runs can appear on public leaderboards. Everyone playing can see your name, country, message and picture. Please don't put personal information in your name or message.

Ads

The Android app shows ads from Google AdMob. We ask Google to treat every ad request as being for a child. Google says that when we do this, it takes steps to turn off personalised ads and doesn't send your device's advertising ID. The app also doesn't have permission to use that ID.

We ask Google for ads rated G, which it describes as suitable for all audiences, including families and children.

Google may still collect some information from your device, such as your IP address, for advertising, for measuring ads and to prevent fraud. Google's privacy policy explains this:

Saved on your device

Your game progress, settings and the players you block are saved on your device.

Issues and suggestions

You can send us an issue report or suggestion from the game's menu, up to 2,000 characters. Only we read it. Other players never see it, and you can't read it back in the game. Our word filter doesn't check these messages, and we can't stop personal details being sent.

Don't include your real name, address, phone number, school or anything else about you or your family. If we see personal details in a message, we delete the message.

If you need help

This form is only for problems with the game and ideas for it. We can't reply or get help for you here. If you are hurt, scared or not safe, please tell a parent, teacher or another adult you trust, or call your local emergency number.

Who can see your data

Only the game's owner can see your private data, using a private admin tool. Your online data is stored with Amazon Web Services in Singapore. Google may collect some information for ads, as explained under Ads.

How long we keep it

  • Your profile, earlier names and best leaderboard runs: until you delete your data.
  • Your other runs: 30 days.
  • Your earlier messages: 90 days.
  • Resolved issues and suggestions: 90 days.
  • Open issues and suggestions: until they are resolved or your data is deleted.

Removal can take a few more days.

Deleting your data

You can delete your online data in your profile in the game. This can't be undone. Progress saved on your device stays. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a child's data using the email address below.

After deletion, a report that led to action against a player is kept for 90 days. Logs with a player ID last up to 30 days, and backups up to 7 days.

Changes

We may change this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
