About CSV Viewer

CSV Viewer turns a CSV file or pasted data into a clean table you can search and sort. It detects whether values are separated by commas, tabs, semicolons or pipes, and correctly handles quoted values that contain delimiters or line breaks.

Use it to check an export or look something up in a data file without opening a spreadsheet. Because the file stays on your device, it also suits data you would rather not upload to an online service.

How to use CSV Viewer

  1. 01Open a CSV file, or paste your data.
  2. 02Search across all columns to filter the rows.

Features

  • Search across every column with highlighted matches
  • Sort any column, with numbers in numeric order

Frequently asked questions

How do I view a CSV file without Excel?
Select Open file and choose your CSV. It appears as a table in your browser, so no spreadsheet software is needed.
Can I search a CSV file?
Yes. Type in the search box to filter the table to rows containing your text in any column. Matches are highlighted, and letter case is ignored.
What if my file uses semicolons or tabs?
The delimiter is detected automatically. If the detection is wrong for your file, choose the delimiter yourself from the list.
Is my CSV file uploaded?
No. Your file is read by your browser and is never uploaded, stored or sent to a server.
